What is Cozy Neutral Fall Decor?
Fall decor does not have to be all bright orange pumpkins, multi-colored gourds, scarecrows, and jack-o-lanterns. Here are some tips for adding subtle, natural, and neutral fall to your home!
I love Fall as it is a close second to Spring. I always look forward to decorating for fall almost as much as I do Christmas! Christmas is my favorite holiday but I digress. Nothing makes me happier than incorporating things from nature to usher in the autumn season. I naturally gravitate to a more neutral fall palette. My heart is always going to pick neutrals if I have to choose so that is why today I decided to gather and style some neutral fall decor that you can incorporate into your home right now.
I am a big fan of neutrals in any season. However, in fall, adding rich browns creamy whites, and an abundance of texture seems to cozy up our spaces as we prepare for the colder months ahead. With that in mind, let’s get started!
Six Tips for Styling Neutral Fall Decor in Your Home!
- Use muted/softer shades of your favorite fall colors, instead of the traditional bright oranges, reds, yellows, and dark browns. Use more soft whites, grays, blacks, and neutral greens!
- Include items from nature. Think pine cones, end-of-the-season hydrangeas, apples, pears, etc. Faux stems like lambs’ ears, eucalyptus, floral buttons, or even different colors of wheat stems are always inviting!
- Add cozy textures. This can be done using throw pillows and blankets! I highly recommend crochet-knit or waffle-knit throws as they are the best!
- Don’t forget the pumpkins. You can add pumpkins in a neutral way by using white, fabric, woven, wood, or even concrete pumpkins. A few here or there are just enough but think texture!
- Incorporate florals. This can be done with the use of a wreath or a vase full of fall stems.
- Switch out your art to fall landscapes, bring the outside in. Click here for my favorite collection of fall printable art.
