I wonder…do you ever get stuck in a rut with your life, and you just need a touch of inspiration? I know that I do! Recently, I have re-discovered that inspiration is everywhere when we start looking for or listening on purpose to something that resonates with our souls so I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my favorite inspirational simple living podcasts!
I travel every morning to and from my day job so I wanted to listen to something besides the radio. I’ll admit that I’m very late to the world of podcasts but since stumbling upon it, my quality of life has steadily improved because I keep my mind open to constantly learning new things. I believe you can do the same thing with your life so if you need a new favorite podcast to listen to, I’ve got you covered!
This list will be in no particular order, but I do want to point out that these podcasts fall into a few categories of simple living. I listen to podcasts that inspire my own journey, so I have included any and all that inspires us to slow down and live the life we deserve.
- SHE PODCAST // Jordan Lee Dooley is a native Hoosier just like me! Her podcast covers actionable advice on cultivating healthy relationships, creating a successful brand and business for entrepreneurs, embracing body positivity, improving money management, and empowering your faith all wrapped up with tailorable, tangible takeaways. Nothing is off the table. She also just released Own Your Everyday. I’m in love with this book. Go give it a read!
- THE MINIMALISTS // I first watched Minimalism, the documentary on Netflix and was introduced to Joshua Fields Millburn & Ryan Nicodemus who are the creators of the Minimalists blog and author of “Minimalism“. Joshua and Ryan are all about making space for the things that matter in your life by letting go of what doesn’t or should not matter in your life. In addition to their numerous essays, books, online classes, and documentaries, their listeners can enjoy honest and compelling episodes about living a minimalist life in relationships, home, self-care, the workplace, and finances. It’s a must podcast.
- THE SLOW HOME PODCAST // This is a new podcast for me as I have recently added it but I’m so glad I stumbled upon this one! Brooke McAlary, the host, describes herself as a slow-traveling, gutsy shiraz-appreciating writer who currently lives in the Blue Mountains, outside Sydney, Australia. Her podcast is focused on slowing down, simplifying, and focusing on the things that are truly important, this podcast is a breath of fresh air for anyone living in the fast lane.
- LOW- TOX LIFE // This is also a new podcast for me as I have recently added it to my subscription list but I’m so glad I have because The low-tox life podcast is all about our bodies, minds, and souls. It is hosted by Alex Stuart. She is phenomenal at inspiring others to really take a look at what they are bringing into their homes. She offers a variety of informative and intriguing topics from sleeping habits, the food that we eat to psychological wellness.
- MINIMAL-ISH // Minimal-ish is a podcast about minimalism…sort of. This is a great podcast and I’m also new to listening as well. Desirae, the host, encourages towards the grace-filled, realistic form of minimalism that benefits your life and family most. She brings honesty and transparency to the conversation. It’s the podcast that encourages you to let go of material things and clear out your space to make room for what matters.
These are just a few simple living podcasts that I listen to currently. Let me know below in the comments. Did I leave out any of your favorite simple living podcasts?
