Need a little help recalling some things to be thankful for? I’ve got you covered. Below are 10 little successes, moments, and items to be grateful for every day! Because honestly, it’s the ordinary things that make life extraordinary.
TO START….
- Your other half. It doesn’t matter if it’s a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, or just an awesome partner-in-crime.
2. Your pet or pets. They love you unconditionally and are always so happy to see you! It literally makes my day to see my two dogs, Milo and Mila, and get all the kisses!
3. Family & Friends! This is the tribe that loves you for you; supports you and pushes you to be the best version of yourself. Be sure to reach out to each one because you don’t know when you may see them again if not in the holidays!
4. Having A Home. Whether you live in an apartment, townhouse, condo, a mansion, or a tent; having a place to call home is something to be grateful for.
5. Ability to create a beautiful home. I love owning our first house and being able to turn it into a home because I believe a home should be your personal sanctuary and enable meaningful living. I get to do all these DIYS – new hardwood floors, new deck, new blanket ladder, bead garland for Christmas. I’m so grateful to have this ability!
6. Healthy Food. There are a variety of supermarkets, farmers’ markets, and restaurants within a few minutes of my home. I am so lucky to get three square meals a day and to have a choice in what I want to eat. I’m also so excited to gather around with my friends and family to eat delicious homemade food for the holidays! Food brings people together!
7. Clean Source Of Water.
8. Health. It is literally true that if you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything. Our bodies are incredible and can do amazing things if treated well, such as moving them, eating well, and resting. I have so much to be thankful for that I often take for granted about my body and how it helps me to do everything every day.
9. Ability to enjoy the small and free pleasures of life. Sunrise and its warmth on my face. To be able to take a relaxing walk in the woods or take a cool swim in the ocean. A crisp Autumn day when the trees are filled with leaves of vibrant colors and hearing the crunch under my feet. In that case, I’m going to go curl up with a good book.
10. The holidays. They don’t call it “the most wonderful time of the year” for nothing. It’s awesome that we can literally celebrate any reason to celebrate. Carry the joy of the season with you and extend it to all!
In Conclusion…
Let me know what you thought in the comments! As we head into this season of thanksgiving and merriment, let’s be intentional and present to enjoy and spread joy during this holiday season!
